I am a UX DESIGNER, a graduate of CAD.
Linn Legros, graduated from CAD in 2014.
You graduated from CAD four years ago, what is your current job ?
I am now a UX Designer in an agency called Denkwerk in Berlin, Germany.
In a nutshell, what does a UX Designer do ?
User experience design (UX) is the process of enhancing user satisfaction with a product by improving the usability, accessibility and pleasure provided in the interaction with the product. UX designers are in high demand.
In what way did CAD help you get where you are today ?
Without doubt, all my internships during my time at CAD made me the experienced designer I am today, at quite a young age. Adding to this inspiring, amazing teachers who are all top working professionals and a truly creative training, CAD has given me the best in terms of education to face today’s digital world.
What are your best memories of CAD ?
With courses given in English and the spirit that prevails, CAD is an international school that opens us up to the world. I travelled a lot during my 4-year course. To give you some examples, I went on a study trip to Bilbao, Madrid and Chicago. I did a 3-month internship in Montreal, a 4-month exchange in an Australian university, a workshop in Shanghai and another in Lyon and now, I live in Germany in a fantastic city !
I heard you made quite an impression with your final year project, can you tell us more about it ?
The final year’s project objective was to create a new product and imagine the whole communication around it (branding, logo, packaging, web design, app design, campaigns, …). I had decided to create a brand of pretzels (yes, that’s right !) with the concept : “A pretzel makes a hipster happy”. For my jury presentation, I brought a whole bunch of those pretzels, a sure way to make a good impression on the jury members !
Finally, in a few words, how would you summarize your studies at CAD ?
CAD is a college where we work hard, and are taught by professionals in a friendly atmosphere. The quality is such that the placement rate is exceptional !
