PRESENTATION

The question is no longer whether to use AI, but how to integrate it effectively into professional practice.

This evening course introduces a professional, node-based approach to AI, built around reusable, production-ready workflows. Learn how to take a project from initial brief to client-ready visuals more efficiently, while maintaining creative control and preserving your design intent.

Part of CAD’s new Lifelong Learning programme, this course is designed for interior architects, interior and furniture designers, and scenographers looking to bring AI into their creative workflow.

9 evening classes of 2 hours · 5 modules + 2 appendices

THE PROGRAMME

After a brief introduction to the fundamentals of prompting and image generation, you will explore three production pipelines:

From brief to render.
Starting with a real project brief, develop three design concepts and take them from 2D plans to photorealistic visuals. Then bring your own sketches, material choices and a custom-designed furniture piece into the process.

From 3D model to photorealism.
Transform raw 3D views into photorealistic renders in seconds, with precise control over materials and finishes. Explore new camera angles, day-to-night lighting, PBR materials and the generation of 3D objects from AI images.

From space to film.
Turn your design concept into a 30–90-second cinematic mood film, combining scripting, AI-generated footage, AI voiceover and final editing.

Appendix: emerging technologies.
Explore what’s next in creative practice, from augmented-reality models and AI-generated 3D to immersive environments created from simple images.

WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH

  • Three design concepts developed from initial plans to photorealistic renders.
  • A complete interior design package, including a custom-designed furniture piece.
  • Portfolio-ready visualisations and a cinematic presentation film.
  • A presentation website for your furniture piece or a call-for-projects entry, built in the appendix.
  • A personal library of reusable, production-ready workflows to integrate into your own professional practice.
